Evelyn Pavlova, M.S.

Registered Mental Health Intern

Hello! My name is Evelyn and my goal as a therapist is to provide you with space to be yourself, to the extent possible, given that in our lives we have to wear so many masks and filter ourselves. I create a non-judgmental, yet challenging atmosphere that allows for personal growth. My office is that precious space that you don't find just anywhere.

My Style

I'm straight forward, open, human, and sometimes philosophical with you, when it's appropriate. I listen very carefully and offer feedback that can often help you to see things that you haven't recognized or admitted, or see things in a different light. I speak the truth, although carefully, which is my way of conveying respect and care toward you.

THE AREAS OF FOCUS AND EXPERTISE:

I love exploring the deep issues of meaning, direction, and purpose. Many of our struggles stem from lack of self-acceptance and self-understanding, refusal to accept temporary circumstances, having unhealthy boundaries, fighting with various deep-seated fears, and having unclear values - you can address these and other areas with me.

Also, the history of living in and being exposed to different cultures/languages (Estonia, Russia, Israel, U.S.), as well as having had the privilege to be immersed in the LGBTQIA community have sensitized me to the importance of multicultural issues. I have a better understanding of the struggles that different groups in the LGBTQIA community experience. As a trainer, educator, and Ally, I also provide education and sensitivity training to others about the LGBTQIA community.
